  Janice Lorraine Sexton Snedden a 1958 Gary High School Graduate

Arlington, Texas - Janice Lorraine Sexton Snedden, 68, passed away Friday, April 17, 2009, in Fort Worth.   Memorial service: 11 a.m.  Thursday in the Vandergriff Chapel at First United Methodist Church, 313 N. Center St., Arlington, the Rev. Francine Copeland officiateing.   Memorials;  Memorial gifts gifts may be made to Cancer Care Services, 623 S. Henderson St., Fort Worth, Texas 76104; Vitas Hospice in Fort Worth or First United Methodist in Arlington.                              Janice was born December 21, 1940, in Anawalt, W.Va., to William and Lillian David Sexton.               She was a 14-year resident of Brigeton, N.J., where where she attended Berean Baptist Church and retired from Durand Glass Manufacturing in Milville, N.J.              Janice was a former resident of Alington, from 1980 - 1992 and recently returned to her beloved Texas where she attended First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts, cross-stitching, collecting pineapples, crystal and china dishes and Longaberger baskets.                Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Thimas Howard Snedden, Feb 3, 2006.  Survivors: Daughters, Deborah Gant and husband, Ken of Parkville, Mo., and Wendy Stewart and husband Brian of Arlington; grandchildren, Colton Kelican and Claire Stewart. 


  Dr. Joseph Patrick Nieto a 1973 graduate of Gary High School

  Princeton, Wv. - Dr. Joseph Patrick Nieto, 53, of Princeton died Sunday, April 19, 2009 at his residence.   Born October 6, 1955 at Grace Hospital in Welch, Wv., he was the son of Theresa Pisano Nieto of Princeton and the late Gerald Harold Nieto.               He was a 1973 graduate of Gary High School, a 1977 graduate of West Virginia University, and a 1983 graduate of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.   Dr. Nieto did his residency in Ob-Gyn in Lancaster , Pa.   He moved to Princeton and opened his Ob-Gyn practice in 1988.   He delivered over 10,000 babies during his professional career.                                  He was married to his loving wife, Bridget Dineen Nieto on June 4, 1983.  She was the love of his life, and he grieved the loss of her in 2006 after her battle with breast cancer.                                 In addition to his mother, survivors include three wonder sons, Zachary Jonah Nieto, Lukas Noe` Nieto, and Josiah Daniel Nieto all of Princeton; one sister, Monica Mills and husband Gareth of Princeton; his mother-in-law, Tess Dineen of Morgantown, W.Va.; his brother-in-law, Mike Dineen and wife Joyce of Morgantown; two sisters-in-law, Mary Dineen and husband Dan Frantz of Bowling Green, Ky. and Liz Dineen of Charleston, W.Va.; two nephews, Calep Mills and Jacob Mills of Princeton; two nieces, Brittany Erskine of Charleston, and Micalyn Dineen of Morgantown; two uncles, William Nieto(his Godfather) of Denver, Col. and Frank Pisano of Cranston, R.I.; two Aunts, Magdaline McCrady and husband Carl McCrady  Sr. of Bristol, Va. and Helen Pisano of Woodbridge, Va.; many special cousins; and his dedicated and loving dogs, Katie, Cleo and Marley.                               Dr. Nieto`s office staff was his extended family and includes Rhonda Lambert, Barbara Neal, judy Moore, as well as his sister , Monica Mills.  The staff at Princeton Community Hospital Women`s Center and the staff in the operating rooms of PCH were also like extended family.           Dr. Nieto loved his work, and anyone who knew him well was blessed to see his many talents.  He kept everyone fed well, from family and friends to dogs and birds.      He was a true Mountaineer, loved all sports, loved and respected all types of music, and loved to cook.  He served as a preceptor for many students from the Wv School of Osteopathic Medicine, Mountain State University, James Madison University, Shenandoah University, Bluefield State College Nurses Program, Radford University, Old Dominion University and Marshall University.                                    A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton with Father Dan Pisano as Celebrant.         Burial will follow at Oakwood Park Cemetery in Princeton. Pallbearers will be family, friends and co-workers.      Online condolences may be sent to the family at  www.seaverfuneralservice.com   Seaver Funeral HOme in Princeton is serving the Nieto family.                


  Molly Sue Lester Lambert a 1956 graduate of Gary High School

Thorpe, Wv. - Molly Sue Lester Lambert, 71, of Thorpe passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009 in Welch Community Hospital, Welch.               Born February 15, 1938 in Iaeger she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Kathleen Auvil Lester.          She was a 1956 graduate of Gary High School, and a former employee of the Unemployment Office in Welch.   She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.            In addition to her parents , she was preceded in death by her husband , A. W. "Humpy" Lambert; a son , William Lester Lambert; a sister, Karen A. Lester; and a grandson, Jason W. Underwood.                            Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Karen Underwood and husband John of Premier; two granddaughters, Amanda Barnes of Prenier and Anna Underwood of Premier; two great-granddaughters, Katelynn Jordan and Malayah Barnes of Premier; and a host of family and friends.                                                    Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 12 p.m.  in the chapel of the Douglas Mortuary, Welch, with Pastor Randall Dority officiating.              Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.       The family of Molly Sue Lambert is being served by the Douglas Mortuary in Welch.
