Gary Hollow News : ______ News flash ; Nov 14, 2009 : High School Football Scores; Wv. High School Playoff Scores ; Man 25 - Parkersburg Catholic 20, Bluefield 62 - Liberty Raleigh 24 , Wirt County 34 - Iaeger 12 (This was Iaeger`s last ever football game. Scholarship $300.00 each this year , those who received scholarships are : William Johnathan Hornick, Amanda Dishman, Matthew Belcher and Jessica Charney. The Scholarship Fund is getting low , if any Alumni would like to make a donation to the Scholarship Fund they make their checks or moneyorders payable to Gary High School Scholarship Fund and send to Robert L. Little P.O. Box 782 Bluefield, Wv. 24701. All donations will be greatly appreciated. Coaldigger Museum Needs New Roof: The Gary Coaldigger Museum needs a new roof, the Gary High School Alumni Association has had the part of the roof that was leaking replaced, but the rest of the roof needs to be replaced but the Alumni Association does not have the money to have it done. If any Alumni`s would like to make a donation to help pay for a new roof, they can make their checks or money orders payable to Gary High School Museum and send to Robert L. Little P.O. Box 782 Bluefield , Wv. 24701, all donations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you Carolyn S. Mayhew , daughter of Maggie and Tom Mayhew formerly of Elbert, has been named the dean of the Appalachian College of Pharmacy, formerly the University of Appalachia, in Oakwood, Va. Mayhew moved to Morristown, Tenn., with her parents in 1976. Her parents still live in Hamblen County. |
